FXPHD 'The Machine': Modelling

During the summer I was asked by Russell Dodgeson (Head of Nuke at Framestore) and Robert Harrington (Technical Director at Framestore) to work as the only Modeller on a FXPHD MasterClass course called 'The Machine". Here are images below showing the Model I created for them.

The Front Section was the beauty section as it was in all the shots and had to contain alot of detail.

I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project. I am just doing the last adjustments to the back section of the engine as for the course it was not needed for it to be finished so in the time I had I concentrated on the front section. Full renders will be up in the next week showing the final completed model!

Wrath of the Titans: Modelling

During the Summer of 2011, I worked at Framestore as a modeller for The Wrath of the Titans. I worked along side Scott Eaton, where I modelled clothes and props for two of the three Cyclops characters found in the film. I also modelled some of the flying logs, the log trap and the CG Arrows found within the film.

(Above) Here is an image of the three Cyclops found in the Film. The two found on the left are the two I modelled the clothes and props for. For the Fat Cyclops we decided to not use a belt buckle so I designed the idea of bent metal hooks keeping his belt together. Below is another example of my clothes in action. I plan to get some renders out soon!

Here is a link to the website of the new film project I'm working on named Going Down at Ravensbourne.

The film has manage to win an Ravensbourne Award: "Best Collaborative Film". Here is a Link to the film on Youtube.

Here are some images of my modelling found in the Film. I Modelling and Designed both Characters for the film as well as doing the Lighting for all the office shots, reception and a few of the Lift Shots. The Project has been a great learning curve and there are plans in the works to develop another short film later on in the year.

Ok first post in awhile but from now on I will be blogging and showing my work as I do it!

Here is my 2-3 hour sculpt and 2 on rendering. Here I wanted to test how fast I could get from concept to an image. Will be trying to post a sculpt a week!
